01 Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Backlixo (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before using the Service.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use Backlixo. If you are using Backlixo on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

02 The Service

Backlixo is a backlink monitoring tool that allows users to track, monitor, and manage their backlink portfolios. The Service includes:

• Automated link checking to verify backlinks are live and healthy
• Email alerts when links are lost, modified, or change attributes
• A dashboard to manage and organize link records
• CSV export and reporting features (Pro and Agency plans)
• Link exchange tracking and contact management

03 Your Account

To use Backlixo, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate and up-to-date information during registration
• Maintaining the security and confidentiality of your password
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You may not share your account credentials with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits. Each account is for use by a single individual unless you are on a plan that includes team member seats.

04 Acceptable Use

You agree to use Backlixo only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the Service to monitor links you do not own or have permission to track
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
• Use automated scripts to access the Service in a way that overloads our servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
• Use the Service to conduct any illegal activity or violate third-party rights
• Resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission
• Submit false, misleading, or malicious URLs to our link checking system

05 Payments & Billing

Backlixo offers paid subscription plans (Starter, Pro, and Agency) billed monthly or annually. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the following:

• Payments are processed securely by Paddle, our payment processor
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period
• You authorize us to charge your payment method on each renewal date
• Prices may change with 30 days' notice before your next renewal
• Annual plan payments are charged in full upfront at the discounted rate

All prices are listed in USD. Applicable taxes may be added at checkout depending on your location. Paddle collects and remits applicable taxes on our behalf.

06 Free Trial & Refunds

Every paid plan includes a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start a trial. You will only be charged if you choose to continue after the trial ends.

Refund Policy:

• Monthly subscriptions: We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee from your first payment
• Annual subscriptions: We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee from your first payment
• After these periods, subscription payments are non-refundable
• Partial refunds for unused time are not provided when cancelling mid-period

To request a refund, email support@backlixo.com within the refund window with your account email and reason for the refund.

07 Intellectual Property

Backlixo and all its content, features, and functionality — including but not limited to the software, design, text, graphics, and logos — are owned by Backlixo and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Your data belongs to you. The link records, contact information, and notes you add to Backlixo remain your property. You grant us a limited license to store and process this data solely to provide the Service to you.

You may not use the Backlixo name, logo, or branding without our prior written consent, except as permitted in our Agency white-label plan.

08 Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure
• Link checks will always accurately reflect the live state of a webpage
• Email alerts will always be delivered without delay
• The Service will meet your specific requirements or expectations

Link checking relies on third-party websites being accessible. We are not responsible for inaccurate results caused by pages blocking our crawler, CDN caching, or other factors outside our control.

09 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Backlixo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
• Loss of data or backlinks due to service interruptions
• Costs incurred from failed link recovery attempts
• Any damages arising from your reliance on our link checking results

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10 Termination

You may cancel your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing support@backlixo.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if:

• You violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
• You fail to pay outstanding subscription fees
• We are required to do so by law
• Continued use poses a risk to our systems or other users

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We will retain your data for 30 days after termination to allow you to export it, after which it is permanently deleted.

11 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Backlixo shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction, as applicable in your location.

12 Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect and update the "Last updated" date on this page.

Your continued use of Backlixo after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must cancel your account before the effective date.
